SACA, CSA, and the Provinces together fund the central contracting of physiotherapists and fitness trainers. This benefit allows Division 1, as well as Proteas men and women players free access to improved team medical services.

The player should notify the Union immediately of any injuries or illnesses on duty. Any treatment not covered by the cricketer’s medical aid scheme (including gap) will be covered by the Union, in accordance with clause 21.4 of the cricketer contract, except in the case of a non-timeous submission of the claim by the cricketer.
The cricketer should seek prior approval from the team physiotherapist or doctor for the appropriate treatment.
