A dual career is an essential and helpful path to pursue while for players who are still playing. It provides players with an identity and purpose outside of cricket, helping them to avoid the potential pitfalls of burnout and a lack of direction while playing and once their playing days are over. By developing skills and interests beyond the game, cricketers can create a more balanced and fulfilling life, even during the demanding rigors of their careers.
SACA offers a bursary programme to assist cricketers in pursuing their academic and professional goals while playing. The bursary provides financial support and guidance to players while they are studying. This initiative aims to empower cricketers to build a strong foundation for their future and explore career opportunities beyond their playing days.
Player Development Managers (PDMs) play a pivotal role in supporting and guiding players as they navigate their lives off the field. PDMs work closely with players to identify their interests, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and explore potential. By fostering a supportive environment, PDMs empower cricketers to build successful dual careers and ensure a smooth transition from the field to the next chapter of their lives.
Beyond individual support, PDMs also conduct team workshops that cover topics that relate to collective requirements. Additionally, players have access to Player Plus Online which provides players with a comprehensive library of resources covering every aspect of the programme, from financial literacy, cricket career fundamentals to mental health.
The SACA commercial programmes gives partners access to collective player rights, allowing you to use player attributes to grow your brand.
